Valerie Paschall has spent the last six years tirelessly covering music for DCist. She wrote a column on local bands called Three Stars and served as music editor from 2010 to 2013. Her work has also appeared in Washington City Paper, Washington Post Express, Paste Magazine and Dusted. During the day she focuses on covering urban planning, architecture and real estate as editor of Curbed DC. Valerie's B.A. from Wake Forest is actually in anthropology, but she'll tell you that she majored in running the college radio station.
