On her latest tour, indie-folk songwriter Marissa Nadler has been joined by cellist Janel Leppin, who is based right here in D.C. The two stopped by the Wilderness Bureau earlier this month on the morning of their kick-off show at the Rock & Roll Hotel.

Check out their beautiful performance of “Dead City Emily” above, and “1923,” both from Nadler’s latest album, July available now from Sacred Bones.

Amen Dunes Live At The Wilderness Bureau

Damon McMahon’s latest album as Amen Dunes finds him straying from the sound carved out on earlier releases, which were typically solo, lo-fi, improvisational efforts. This time around, he’s surrounded himself with a number of collaborators. The band’s recordings still maintain a beautiful psych haze, but the result is the most well-developed Amen Dunes record thus far.

Recently, Damon stopped through the Wilderness Bureau with bandmates Parker Kindred and Jordi Wheeler to perform a couple of songs from Love. Check out the band’ stripped down versions of “Lonely Richard” and “I Know Myself” performed exclusively for Bandwidth.
