As long as he remains, the best of local bands will suffer while he caters to bad taste and his own greed. Promoters/talent buyers/booking managers have a well-deserved reputation for being scumbags, but Lambert is one of the most despicable I have ever come across. He’s one of those lazy pieces of shit whose first question for a booking request – if he responds at all – is “What is your draw?”

Basically, that translates to “I’m going to require you to do my job while I milk you to fill my venue and ultimately take your money anyway, because you didn’t fill my polling quota.”

There is a valid reason so many musicians despise him. Until Lambert is removed from the D.C. music scene, it will continue to remain in an utter state of disrepair.

He says that since the gig was announced on May 2, ‘not a single D.C. local has reached out in hopes of supporting the show'”

yeah but no one in DC wants to play at a Steve Lambert venue . what does he expect ?
