Saturday, promoter and website All Things Go hosted its inaugural Fall Classic at Union Market, with a slate of buzzy bands that land somewhere between rock and electronic pop.

All day, Union Market’s Dock 5 abounded with regional beers and attendees who fit squarely within a 20-something demographic. Musical highlights included Swedish performer Tove Lo, who enchanted with her soothing, flirtatious melodies, and in between sets, The Knocks’ B-Roc kept fans dancing with seamless deep-house mixes. After coming on late, Baltimore synthpop stars Future Islands captured eyeballs—particularly when frontman Samuel Herring launched into his signature moves. Here’s what Bandwidth witnessed:

This week, Aussie electronic artist Flume rode through town to play two sold-out nights at the 9:30 Club with Virginia-based rapper GoldLink. Along with a string of tour dates in 2013, he’s been hard at work, starting the duo What So Not with fellow Australian producer Emoh Instead, releasing an EP with Chet Faker and putting out hit remixes of chart-climbers Lorde and Disclosure. Throughout his headlining set last night, Flume brought driving bass and mesmerizing visuals—including his signature LED-outfitted Infinity Prism.

In advance of his forthcoming Def Jam debut, Gaithersburg-raised rapper Logic played a sold-out hometown show last night at Fillmore Silver Spring. Bandwidth was there to capture a few moments from the MC’s set—during which, at one point, the MC took off his shoes, signed them, and tossed them into the crowd. The guy knows how to please his audience. More evidence of that: This stop was the last on his “While You Wait” tour, which aimed to tide over his rabid fans while they await his LP.
